Picket Fences Magazine Locations – Fallout 4

Picket Fences magazines expand the settlement workshop with five groups of building items: picket fencing, high-tech lights, statues, potted plants and patio furniture.

All five base-game issues remain obtainable during a normal playthrough. Optional Creation Club releases add further Picket Fences magazines, but those are not included here.

Issue #1 — The House of Tomorrow…Today!

Location: Beantown Brewery

Workshop unlock: Picket fencing, including fence sections, posts and a gate
Workshop menu: Structures → Picket Fences

How to get it

Enter Beantown Brewery and reach the upper walkways overlooking the main vat room.
Find the foreman’s concrete-walled office guarded by Tower Tom. It contains his terminal, a mattress and a steamer trunk.
Collect the magazine from the floor beside the mattress.

Issue #2 — Modern Hearth!

Location: Hardware Town

Workshop unlock: High-tech settlement lights
Workshop menu: Lights → High Tech Lights

How to get it

Enter Hardware Town and make your way to the centre of the building.
Go upstairs to the office near the green steamer trunk.
The magazine is on the desk beside the Hardware Town storage key.

Issue #3 — Essential Upgrades!

Location: Saugus Ironworks

Workshop unlock: Settlement statues
Workshop menu: Decorations → Statues

How to get it

Enter Saugus Ironworks and continue into the Blast Furnace area.
Reach the catwalk below the steamer trunk and Explosives bobblehead.
Collect the magazine from the catwalk.

Issue #4 — Modern Lawn Care!

Location: Combat Zone

Workshop unlock: Potted plants for settlements
Workshop menu: Decorations → Miscellaneous → Potted Plants

How to get it

Enter the Combat Zone and remain on the ground level.
Move toward the bar in front of the main stage.
The magazine is on the Formica table near the bar.

Issue #5 — Welcome Home!

Location: Weston Water Treatment Plant

Workshop unlock: Patio furniture, including chairs, tables, a picnic table and grill
Workshop menu: Furniture → Chairs/Tables → Patio Furniture; some pieces also appear under Decorations → Miscellaneous

How to get it

Enter Weston Water Treatment Plant, pass the reception area and take the elevator at the end of the corridor.
Exit the elevator, take the corridor to the right and use the red button to open the next door. Find the metal office overlooking the generator room before descending into the main treatment chamber.
Enter the office and collect the magazine before continuing into the flooded treatment area.
